Very interesting. I do all my shipping through eBay or Pirateship.com or Shippo.com. I’d consider them 3rd party, I was looking at Chase Ink Preferred. But this has me concerned about that decision now. I don’t buy directly from any courier.

I still get the bonus points for Endicia. This was for the first part of 2021 until I did end up maxing out the benefit and then it went to 1X.

Now Amex has changed their shipping category to NOT include “3rd party shippers” like Stamps.com and Endicia… but EVERYONE uses them! So instead of earning 3-4pts per purchase, they’re changing the category to “miscellaneous” so you only earn 1 pt per dollar.

I checked my Chase Ink Business card, and they’ve followed suit.

Does anyone know a credit card out there that still considers those postal shipping partners, still in the Shipping category, and therefore, give any MORE than 1pt? Willing to get a new credit card, just for this purpose. Losing too many points now.

Hi Steven. We are not aware of any cards that provide insurance while shipping but the shipping provider should have a set limit of insurance provided automatically.

Excellent article! I do think it’s important to note that it’s possible to apply directly to acquire more than 1 business gold and more than 1 blue business plus. I have 2 of each.
