Hi Becky. I would order a copy of your credit report from each major credit bureau, as mentioned in the article. You can review the information to assure there are no errors but it will also tell you which factors are affecting your credit score.

I have paid down my debt and did everything that all the websites say to do and THIS month I dropped by 20 points. I do not understand why making 90,000.00 a year and paying everything on time drops my credit score. It makes no sense to me at all. I just want to give up and say bankrupt!!

Hi Freddie, if you are still able to make payments to your card (meaning it hasn’t been sent to collections/charged off), your best course of action would be to pay the maximum amount you can afford immediately. You can do this by scheduling a payment online or contacting the card issuer directly to set this up.

If your card has gone into collections, it gets a bit more complicated. In short, the best way to tackle this would be to contact your original lender and negotiate a way for you to pay back your debt over time. By making payments, you can slowly start to rebuild your credit score. Hope this helps!

I was delinquent in my card payment but I want to continue payment. What can I do?

It had many views I haven’t thought about before. I didn’t know that it affects on the rating in a negative way if you have a big loan from one place compared to a mix of different kind of loans. That’s very good to know. These things have been in my mind more after my friend lost his credit score and it had to be repaired. That surely is a difficult situation but I’m glad he’s okay now.

I was denied and even with a paycheck to take the payments out of. Seeing that I work there, I can’t understand why I was denied.
