Complimentary World of Hyatt Discoverist Status for You and up to 5 Employees
One benefit that cardholders can find value in is receiving complimentary Discoverist status for you and up to 5 of your employees, which is usually achieved with 10 elite qualifying nights and comes with the following benefits:
- 10% bonus points
- Preferred room upgrades (excluding suites)
- Elite check-in
- 2 p.m. late checkout (upon availability)
- Waived resort fees
- 2 bottles of water at check-in
- M life Pearl status
Annual Hyatt Credit
To help offset the $199 annual fee, the World of Hyatt Business card offers a $100 annual Hyatt credit, broken up into 2 $50 statement credits that you’ll receive after using your card to pay for your Hyatt stay.
Access to Hyatt Leverage
If you’re not already familiar, Hyatt Leverage is Hyatt’s business travel program that offers exclusive discounts of up to 15% off the standard rate at all participating Hyatt hotels, as well as 5% off qualifying stays at Oasis home rentals.
Usually, you need to spend 50 nights in Hyatt hotels each year to qualify for this benefit, so this is a great way to start saving yourself some cash on your Hyatt stays.
Elite Night Credits as You Spend
With your card, you’ll earn 5 Elite Night Credits for every $10,000 you spend on the card in a calendar year, making for a great way to help you achieve higher levels of World of Hyatt elite status even faster.
In fact, with this perk, you could spend your way to World of Hyatt status without needing to step foot in a Hyatt hotel. You can do so by spending $60,000 on the card to earn Explorist status and $120,000 on the card to earn top-tier Globalist status.
Of course, it wouldn’t make much sense to spend your way to elite status if you don’t stay in Hyatt hotels much. But the point is that spending on the World of Hyatt Business card is a great way to supplement your stays to help you reach higher levels of elite status that you might not ordinally be able to qualify for.
10% Points Rebate
If you are able to spend $50,000 on your card throughout the year, from then on you’ll receive a 10% rebate on your award stays. There’s a cap of 20,000 points back — which you’d have to redeem 200,000 points to hit.
Again, this only applies to award stays after you’ve met the $50,000 threshold, so if this is a benefit that entices you, then you’ll want to meet that spend requirement as early in the year as possible.
Travel Protections
With the card, you’ll also receive the following travel protections:
- Primary Rental Car Coverage
- Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance: Get reimbursed up to $1,500 per person and $6,000 per trip for non-refundable expenses if your trip is canceled or cut short by a covered situation.
Shopping Protections
- Purchase Protection: This covers new purchases made with the card for 120 days against damage or theft, for up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account.
- Extended Warranty Protection: Products purchased with warranty coverage of 3 years or less are extended by 1 additional year.
