1. I have an NC Quick Pass. I discovered you cannot add the rental car to your account. You must delete the current vehicle and replace it with the rental car. However, I couldn’t do this on an iPhone. I did it on an iPad later. That means I got charged tolls from the rental car company for the first day. Next time I’ll get the iPad before I drive off. Supposedly it takes 24 hours. I don’t know about that but it did work for me on the second day.

2. I used the supplied sticky tape with Velcro to put it on the windshield. I carried a razor blade scraper, which worked, to get it off as I was filling with gas. Note, razor blade scraper in checked luggage! If you want replacement sticky tape, Amazon and others carry it.

As far as I know, the unlimited toll pass should cover you for the entire journey. But I’d recommend you check with Avis to verify. Safe travels!

I notice Avis do a unlimited toll pass, would that cover me for the whole journey with nothing extra to pay?
